Tampertronics I've never heard anything quite like this pastoral Spring-themed concept album. The arrangements are delicate as spider's silk - with field recordings scattered throughout the plucked guitars, fiddles and gentle crescendos - but Lisa Knapp's voice is the thread that ties the whole project together. A singular and beautiful record. Favorite track: May Garland.

Zuró Lisa Knapp's voice sounds like a fresh spring that waters the field done with all the wood (and other) recordings... Just adorable. Favorite track: The Night Before May Day.

An album of traditional songs, some attached to rituals performed every May in parts of Britain and some are songs of love and loss set in that most merry month. Featuring guests such as legendary David Tibet (Current 93), Graham Coxon (Blur) and folk singer Mary Hampton. Joined on percussion by Pete Flood (Bellowhead) with additional instrumentation by Gerry Diver who also produced the album.
